Injured Welders: Time For Action

     While the welding industry vehemently denies any cover-up involving the health risks from welding fumes and categorically denies any causal relationship between exposure to manganese and Parkinsonism, the overwhelming evidence points the contrary. 

     The welding rod industry can no longer be allowed to hide behind its vast monetary resources, complex corporate entities and highly skilled attorneys.  Distributors and commercial suppliers at all levels of the distribution chain must be held personally liable for physical harm, financial injury and loss of life caused to the unknowing consumers who were injured by these unreasonable and inherently dangerous products.  It is intolerable that hundreds of thousand of hard working innocent welders will have their lives tradically cut short by welding—induced  Manganism where the disease could be 100% preventable through proper warnings, appropriate ventilation equipment, safety techniques and air filtration systems.  The injured and the families of these victims shall have their day in court.
